Mimbi Caves and Jarlarloo Riwi Campground

One of those "out of the way" spots you find out about just browsing the brochures at the tourist centre.

View from our camp chairs in the early evening

Aboriginal owned and operated this cave system and camp site sits within the 350 million year old Devonian Reef System and lands the Gooiyandi People have occupied for 40,000 years.

Our Indigenous guide provided us an inciteful, educational, at times humorous and at times painful (for us to hear), view of history from the "other perspective". Thank you Rose.

Not sure if we are ever going to get the dust out of the van when we get back. It's the price we both accept of getting to see the "out of the way" places

The Campground

Home under the stars (under a roof but with a skylight).

Stars with glow from a bush fire nearby
This photo and the one above I'm practicing my star photos with subject painting thrown in

Next stop - Derby with Horizontal Falls and AZ jab on the list.
